I went to Minnesota in the delightful month of March to photograph the Aurora Borealis. One of our day trips was to a natural reserve to look for eagles and owls. I didn’t see many but I did admire the beautiful snowy birches. I so wished I had a Setter along with me – I thought it was a natural pairing of colors. So when I came home, I made my own composite using photographs I took of the trees and an older photograph of Finch from the previous summer. Once done, I painted it.
