THE EMBELLISHED CANVAS - November 7, 2026
Workshop Registration Agreement & Payment Plan Policy
This Workshop Registration Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between Danica Barreau of Pouka Art & Photography, Pouka, LLC (“Pouka” or “Instructor”), and the undersigned registrant (“Participant”), for participation in The Embellished Canvas workshop (“Workshop”).
1. WORKSHOP REGISTRATION
Registration secures one seat in the Workshop, including a full day of instruction, a professionally printed canvas produced from the Participant's submitted reference image, a practice canvas, and a brush set. Easels, paint, and gel are supplied by Pouka for in-class use and remain Pouka's property.
2. AGREEMENT SIGNATURE DEADLINE
This Agreement must be signed and returned within five (5) business days of registration. If a signed copy is not received within that time, Pouka reserves the right to cancel the registration and issue a full refund.
3. REFERENCE IMAGE DEADLINE
The Participant's reference image must be submitted no later than three (3) weeks before the Workshop date. This deadline allows time for the canvas to be printed and shipped in time for class. Reference images submitted after this deadline may result in the Participant's canvas not being ready for the Workshop, and no refund will be issued for that circumstance.
4. TOTAL COST AND PAYMENT PLAN
The total cost of the Workshop is $495 per Participant. Pouka offers the following payment options:
● Payment in full at the time of registration; or
● A payment plan of two installments: a deposit equal to 50% of the total workshop cost (currently $247.50) due at registration, with the remaining balance due one month after registration, and no later than the reference image deadline (three weeks before the Workshop date), whichever comes first.
Registration is not confirmed, and a seat is not held, until the deposit or full payment is received.
The payment plan option is only available for registrations made on or before September 15, 2026. Registrations made after that date must be paid in full at the time of registration.
If the Participant elects the ghost painting add-on ($100), that fee is due in full at the time of registration, regardless of payment plan, since digital painting work begins ahead of the Workshop.
5. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
● Cancellations made before the reference image deadline (three weeks before the Workshop date) will receive a full refund, less a $100 non-refundable registration fee. This fee reflects supplies Pouka will likely have already purchased for the Workshop.
● Cancellations made after the reference image deadline are non-refundable, as materials have already been ordered and prepared specifically for the Participant. The Participant may instead transfer their registration to a future Embellished Canvas workshop, once, within twelve (12) months, subject to availability. This transfer option applies only to a future Embellished Canvas workshop and may not be applied toward any other workshop, including other subject matter or workshops co-taught with other instructors.
● No-shows and late arrivals on the day of the Workshop are not eligible for a refund or transfer.
● The ghost painting add-on fee is non-refundable once digital work has begun.
6. WORKSHOP MINIMUM AND CANCELLATION BY POUKA
The Workshop requires a minimum of four (4) registered Participants to run. If the minimum is not met, Pouka reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the Workshop. In that event, Participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a rescheduled date.
Pouka also reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the Workshop due to circumstances beyond Pouka's control, including illness, venue unavailability, or severe weather. In that event, Participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a rescheduled date.
7. MATERIALS AND OWNERSHIP
The completed embellished canvas belongs to the Participant upon completion of the Workshop. Easels, paint, and gel are provided for in-class use only and remain the property of Pouka Art & Photography.
8. LIABILITY
Pouka is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Workshop. The Participant assumes responsibility for the safe handling of materials, tools, and personal belongings during the Workshop.
9. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties regarding the Workshop and supersedes all prior discussions or agreements, whether written or oral.
