Every portrait is created specifically for one story. Pricing is based on a few key decisions — size, composition, and the level of detail in the design. Two approaches are available, each suited to a different kind of portrait.

Storyscape™ Portraits involve a fully realized setting — a landscape, a meaningful location, a scene that reflects who they were. Both are finished by hand on archival canvas.

Design & Consultation Fee
All commissions begin with a $100 design and consultation fee. This covers concept development and a detailed mockup so you can see the direction clearly before any painting begins. That amount is applied toward your final investment once the design is approved.

— WHAT TO EXPECT
Your investment.
Smaller, more intimate pieces fall at the lower end. Larger or more detailed compositions increase from there. You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out — once I see your images and hear a bit about what you're envisioning, I'll guide you toward options that fit both your space and your budget.
Flexible payment plans are available. If you have budget considerations, it's appropriate to mention them early. Commissioning custom artwork is not an impulse decision — most clients take time to consider size, placement, and budget, and the design process allows us to refine everything before the final piece is completed.

Storyscapes go beyond a simple painted background, placing your subject within an environment that holds meaning. Because of their complexity, they involve a more collaborative design process — often with multiple mockups used to refine the overall direction before the final artwork begins. WHAT PAYMENT TYPES DO YOU ACCEPT?
Credit or debit cards, PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, cash, or checks are all accepted.
The design and consultation fee is paid first. Once the design is approved and final artwork details are set, a second invoice is issued for the remaining balance. Payment plans are available for clients who prefer to spread the investment over time. The finished artwork ships once the final payment is complete.
IS TRADITIONAL FRAMING AVAILABLE?
Most paintings are presented as canvas prints with contemporary floater frames, selected to complement the artwork and suit modern home display. These frames provide depth, durability, and a finished look ready for hanging.
For clients who prefer a more traditional presentation, custom frame upgrades are available. Because this approach expands the number of available options, traditional framing is handled on a case-by-case basis and includes an additional $300 framing charge. This can be discussed during the design phase.
IS SALES TAX APPLIED?
Ohio sales tax is applied where required by law.
DOES PRICING INCLUDE MULTIPLE SUBJECTS?
Pricing includes up to two subjects. Additional subjects can be incorporated for an added fee, which is discussed during the design phase based on composition and complexity.
NEED SOMETHING DIFFERENT?
Not every project fits a standard frame. Because the original artwork is created digitally, portraits can be adapted for other applications — breed advertisements, RV graphics, and similar custom uses. Reach out for a tailored quote.
IS THIS COMMISSION A GIFT?
Gift certificates are available and can be used as a deposit. This works particularly well when you'd like to give the recipient the opportunity to choose their own reference images — and can be applied toward an upgrade in sizing or framing.
WHAT ABOUT SHIPPING?
Shipping within the continental United States is included in your investment.
