DESIGN & CONSULTATION FEE
Beginning in 2026, each commission begins with a Design & Consultation Fee to cover the design phase, including consultation and mockups. Once the design is approved, the fee is credited toward the finished artwork.
How to Care for Your Fine Art Prints
While my 8x10 and 11×14 fine art prints are printed on archival paper and sealed with a top-tier UV + hydrophobic coating, some thoughtful care will help keep them vibrant for years to come.
CHOOSING THE PERFECT SIZE
Commissioning a custom painting is an exciting process, but one of the biggest questions clients face is: What size should I order?
CREATING A BEAUTIFUL MEMORIAL PAINTING
Losing a pet is never easy. They’re not just companions; they’re part of our daily lives, woven into our routines, our homes, and our hearts. And while nothing can truly replace them, a portrait can bring a sense of comfort—a way to keep their presence close and celebrate the love you shared.
STORYSCAPES: A Story Brought to Life
A portrait does more than capture a likeness—it tells a story. While a Signature Portrait highlights a subject against a simple background, a Storyscape goes deeper, placing them in a meaningful setting that reflects their life, personality, and memories.
CUSTOM BACKGROUNDS
If you’re interested in a full environmental background, I can custom create one for you. I also have a collection of previously painted backgrounds that can be used for your own commission for cost savings.
BEFORE AND AFTERS
The truth is, you don’t need professional photos to create a meaningful painting. Whether you have old snapshots, digital pictures, or even cell phone images, I can help you honor your pet’s memory with a custom piece of art that captures their unique personality and spirit.

Obviously, not everyone has access to a professional pet photographer (although, if you’re in Central Ohio, you have ME!) or a fancy camera. That’s absolutely fine. Here are a couple tips and tricks to get good results.
